CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sophomore swimmer Sammy Harrison will be the ninth seed in the 1,650 freestyle at the NCAA Championships, the NCAA announced today. Harrison will also be seeded 20th in the 500 freestyle.
Harrison locked down a spot in the NCAA Championships by reaching an NCAA “A” Standard with a time of 15:55.57 in the 1,650 freestyle at the Pac-12 Championships on March 1. The Henderson, Nev., native won the event, making her the first swimmer in school history to win a Pac-12 title. Harrison also set school records in the 1,650 freestyle, the 1,000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle over the course of the Pac-12 Championships.
The NCAA Championships will begin on March 20 in Minneapolis, Minn.
