CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics will introduce a social media hub for its Signing Day Celebration, which will go active Tuesday on osubeavers.com. Signing Day officially starts on Wednesday morning.

As in the past, fans will be able to visit osubeavers.com and learn about the newest signees via video and biographical information. The hub will now incorporate Twitter and encourage fans to become a part of the conversation by using the hashtag #FutureBeavs14 in all Twitter posts.

The front page of the hub will host the live programming, which will start at 7 a.m. PT. The page will have links to signees as they become official, and fans will have the opportunity to see behind-the-scenes images from Oregon State and its coaching staff. Scrolling toward the bottom of the screen will enable visitors to see what the rest of Beaver Nation is saying. Using #FutureBeavs14 is required to find your Tweet below.

A click on a player’s name on the right-hand side of the page will take a visitor to that player’s page. Each player page will include his biographical information as well as his highlight video. New this year, with the hub, will include Twitter information on each player, and like the front page, fans will have a chance to be a part of the conversation. Tweet using a player’s last name as a #Hashtag and you could see your Tweet on his page.

Fans attending the Signing Day Celebration in Portland that night will find four TVs streaming Tweets and Vine videos from coaches and fans. Simply use #FutureBeavs14 to see if your Tweet makes it up in front of the crowd. And of course, the rest of Beaver Nation not at the celebration will also have the opportunity to see what you have to say via the online hub.

Beaver Nation is of course welcome to be a part of the Signing Day Celebration from the Valley Football Center. The public is invited to join the football team for breakfast and lunch for the approximately five hours of live programming with the Voice of the Beavers Mike Parker. Parker will interview the Beaver coaching staff, current and future student-athletes as well as other guests. There will also be video presentations throughout the day.

Breakfast is $6 between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., while lunch is $8 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
