[UPDATE] Unfortunately, due to the winter wonderland that has overtaken Corvallis and the surrounding areas, the bus trip planned to bring fans from Corvallis to tonight's game at Portland has been canceled. We will work on refunds next week for those who had already purchased seats. We apologize for the inconvenience.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – This Friday, the Oregon State women’s basketball team will make its third appearance for a road game in Portland in the past decade and play its first game at the Chiles Center since 2002. As part of the atmosphere surrounding the game, the OSU Alumni Association, OSU Athletics and Our Beaver Nation have scheduled a pre-game event and transportation to make attendance easier and the night more enjoyable for fans.

There will be a pre-game meet-up at Leisure Public House (8002 N Lombard Street) beginning at 4 p.m. featuring food, drinks and an appearance by head coach Scott Rueck at 5:45 p.m. There is no fee to attend the pre-game social; however registration is requested because space is limited. Fans wishing to attend can register here.

Note that pre-registration does not guarantee a table at the event, but is meant to help anticipate a total number of guests attending. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a table. The event is open to fans 21 years and older only.

A bus is also available to transport fans to Portland, leaving the southwest corner of Gill Coliseum at 3:30 p.m., arriving at the OSUAA event at Leisure Public House around 5 p.m., leaving for the Chiles Center at 6:30 p.m. and returning to Gill immediately following the game. Price for the bus trip is $25 per person for Rebounders members, $30 per person for non-members and includes water bottles on the bus, a ride to and from the game, Rebounder rally towel and driver gratuity. Tickets for the game are not included.

More information and registration for both the bus trip and The Rebounders are available at the bottom of this link on OurBeaverNation.com. Fans wishing to make the trip to Portland can also pay for a spot on the bus in person before it leaves on Friday afternoon. For more information, contact Director of Operations Ashley Shearer at ashley.shearer@oregonstate.edu or 541-207-6811.

Tickets for all women’s games at Portland can be purchased in advance through the Pilot Box Office (M-F, 11am – 5pm, 503-943-7525), or prior to games beginning one hour before tipoff. All seating is general admission. Seats are $6 for adults and $4 for youth.

Tipoff at the Chiles Center is set for 7 p.m. For those that cannot attend, the game will be broadcast in the Corvallis area on KEJO 1240AM with Ron Callan on the call. Live audio, video and stats are also available by visiting the women’s basketball schedule page on osubeavers.com.
