BST Returns With Focus On Basketball

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State men's basketball head coach Craig Robinson and women's head coach Scott Rueck will be the featured guests when Beaver Sports Talk returns to the airwaves tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 7-8 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings on NW 9th Street in Corvallis.

The weekly radio show is hosted by the "Voice of the Beavers" Mike Parker. All fans are welcome to attend and each week there will be raffle prizes and marketing and promotional materials available. Beaver Sports Talk will occur every Tuesday until March 4, except for Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.  

Beaver Sports Talk can be heard live throughout the state of Oregon on the Beaver Sports Radio Network as well as on TuneIn. The men are 3-2 through five games, including a 90-83 win against Maryland in College Park, Md. on Nov. 17, which was the Beavers’ first win over an ACC team on the road and snapped a 30-game win streak by the Terps against non-conference teams at home. Individually, Seniors Roberto Nelson (25.4) and Devon Collier (23.0) are first and second, respectively, in the Pac-12 in scoring and the nation’s top scoring tandem through Dec. 3 games.

The women's team is off to a 4-2 start, beating its opponents by an average of 21.3 points per game. The Beavers top the Pac-12 in a number of categories, including assists (19.8), blocks (6.5) and field goal percentage defense (.314). They are also 12th in the nation in 3-point field goals made per game (9.0) and hit a school-record 17 against Loyola Marymount earlier this season.

The men begin a three-game homestand against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, Dec. 7 at noon, while the women make the short trip to Portland for a tilt with the Pilots at the Chiles Center on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
