CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State gymnastics head coach Tanya Chaplin announced Monday that two gymnasts have signed National Letters of Intent to join the program for the 2014-15 season.
The 2014 recruiting class consists of Danielle Dessaints (Henderson, Nev./GymCats) and Shireen Khamedoost (Bountiful, Utah/Olympus School of Gymnastics).
“I would like to welcome two outstanding young women to the Oregon State Gymnastics family,” Chaplin said. “I am confident that both, Dani and Shireen, will make an immediate impact on our lineup next season.”
Danielle Dessaints, the daughter of Dwayne and Vicki Dessaints, is an extremely powerful and aggressive athlete, strong in the all-around with a vast range of unique skills and combinations. A three-time Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier. Dessaints has twice earned top 10 finishes in the all-around at nationals.
