Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State seniors Brandi Dawson and Jenna Richardson were selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Second Team, as announced Friday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Dawson, a forward for the Beavers, is majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences, minoring in Public Health, and maintains a 3.97 GPA. In 2012, Dawson was named to Capitol One’s Academic All-District First Team, making this the second consecutive year she has been honored as one of the nation’s top student-athletes.

Richardson, also a forward for Oregon State, is similarly majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences, minoring in Public Health, and maintains a 3.91 GPA. This honor confirms that Richardson is a top competitor both on and off the field.

Both Dawson and Richardson were selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team in 2011 and 2012 as well. Those honors will be released in the coming weeks.

A total of 12 Pac-12 women’s soccer players were selected to Capitol One’s Academic All-District teams. Also recognized were Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, and California.
