ERIN, Wis. – Kevin Murphy and Brian Jung each fired a 1-over 73 in the final round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate on Tuesday to help the Oregon State men’s golf team finish the three-day, 54-hole event in seventh place.

The Beavers concluded play with a 14-over 289-295-294--878 at the par-72, 7,234-yard Erin Hills Golf Course to finish 10 strokes behind sixth-place St. John’s and 15 shots better than eighth-place Michigan. Stanford ran away with the team title with a 13-under 851, while UCLA was second (5-under 859) and SMU and Oklahoma tied for third (1-under 863).

He was unable to find the magic he had in the second round when he carded a 2-under 70 on Monday, as the lefty had three birdies for the second consecutive day but also took six bogeys.
