Direct Link To Boyd's Fan Chat
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Former Oregon State left-handed pitcher Matt Boyd will be participating in a fan chat through Spreecast.com on Wednesday at 12 p.m. PT.
Boyd, who was a 2013 All-American, wrote his name into the NCAA record books when his 1-0 shutout of Indiana in the College World Series was the first 1-0 game in nearly 30 years.
He ended the year with an 11-4 record and 2.04 earned run average, which helped vault him into a sixth-round selection in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by Toronto. He had an impressive professional debut, posting a 2.63 ERA in 24 innings between Single-A affiliates Lansing and Dunedin.
The Spreecast event is free for fans. All you need to do to ask Boyd a question is sign up, tune in and hope yours is chosen.
Fans are not limited to the number of questions they may ask; Boyd will get to as many as time allows. He will be participating via webcam and fans can see him live as he takes on your questions.
Can’t make it at 12 p.m.? You can send a question now that will be entered into the queue, or if you have a Twitter account, ask a question using the hashtag #AskMBoyd. Check osubeavers.com after the Spreecast is over for a replay.
Fans who wish to watch and/or participate in the chat are encouraged to RSVP via the Spreecast.com chat link in order to receive an email reminder prior to the 12 p.m. start.
