CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team will play in its annual Orange and Black Match on Wednesday night at Gill Coliseum. It’s set for a 7 p.m. PT start.
The scrimmage is open to the public and free. It will be the first opportunity for Oregon State fans to catch the team in action before the beginning the season, which is less than two weeks later.
The Beavers return nine players from the 2012 season – and have a 10th letterwinner in Kelsey Zimmerman, who did not play last season. Newcomers include freshmen Carlotta Oggioni, Rachel Buehner and Sydney Francis and junior college transfer Amy Sorensen.
Fans are encouraged to stay after the match as the club is scheduled for an autographic session.
The Beavers open the 2013 regular season Aug. 30 in Rochester, Mich., when taking on Villanova in the first of three matches at a tournament hosted by Oakland.
Oregon State’s first home match takes place Wednesday, Sept. 25 against Oregon in the Civil War presented by Pacific Source, Your Local Ford Stores, Wells Fargo and McDonald's. The match will air live on the Pac-12 Networks beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Season tickets for the 2013 season are currently on sale via BeaverTickets.com, 1-800-GOBEAVS and in person at Gill Coliseum.
Season tickets are good for 10 Pac-12 Conference matches this season, all at Gill Coliseum. Tickets are $56 for adult general admission and $40 for seniors/youth.
Fans can purchase tickets online, over the phone, or at the ticket office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
