SAN FERNANDO: Rashaad played quarterback and cornerback in high school, but was recruited as a defensive back … earned All-Valley Mission League three times and was twice named the league’s MVP … earned all-state honors as a sophomore … was all-city three times, twice at quarterback and once as a cornerback … threw for 1,566 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, and added 663 yards and eight touchdowns rushing … first team all-league as a senior and junior … threw for approximately 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns, and rushed 600 yards and six touchdowns as a junior … as a sophomore he passed for 1,629 yards and 17 touchdowns, and rushed for 526 yards and six touchdowns … three-time team captain … also wrestled, winning the city championship three times … earned all-city honors three times and all-area twice.

PERSONAL: Born February 2, 1991 in Los Angeles … son of Charles Reynolds and Mora Pyburn … has five siblings … was a part of two state wrestling championships as a youth at the Boys & Girls Club … also volunteered as a coach and referee … chose OSU because “I felt comfortable and I feel like it’s the best place that fits me” … participated in the “Learning Through Listening: Native American Issues in Rural Oregon Communities during spring break of 2010, involving five days of interacting with the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians … participated in the initial “Beavers Without Borders” trip during spring break of 2011 – traveled to Guatemala to build a house for a needy family … attended the NCAA National Career in Sports Forum in June of 2012 … graduated in December with a degree in human development and family sciences.
