OREGON STATE – 2013: Steven was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA in March due to missing two full seasons with hip injuries while at Hawai’i … played primarily special teams and as a safety in the dime package … recorded 12 tackles on the season including a season-high three tackles against Washington ... Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. 2012: Steven graduated from Hawai’i and transferred to Oregon State in July and was accepted into the school’s master’s program in August … arrived as a cornerback but moved to safety early in fall camp … has made an impact in nickel and dime packages registering five tackles in seven games … recorded first pass break-up in upset of then-No. 13 Wisconsin … intercepted a pass against Arizona State … forced a fumble against California.

HAWAI’I: Was a member of the football team for the Warriors from 2008-11 … played cornerback and free safety … struggled with injuries twice resulting in season-ending hip surgeries … earned University of Hawai’i Ahahoi Koa Anuenue “One to Watch” Award.
